Welcome to the corporate blog for Plugola, Inc.  I realize this should have been started a long time ago, but our development process required much more of our attention than anticipated. Now that our flagship web site is currently in public beta, we can now spend some time talking to you.

Plugola, Inc. was founded by, and is currently two partners; Erik Peterson (President/CEO) and Robert Miller (Vice President/CFO), both of Chicago, IL, USA. We are the creators of, PLUGO.LA, the online social music community and marketplace. The company was started based on the web site in September of 2007, when our original plan was to develop and operate only PLUGO.LA. Since then, we gave begun on a path to so much more.

Part of the reason behind developing PLUGO.LA was because, music trends were quickly changing and that the whole industry was in a state disarray. To stay away from all the friction currently dragging down the big boys in the music industry, we decided that it was the music of independent artists that deserved the most attention. Online technology was/is also rapidly improving; opening exciting, new avenues to share and spread music and media. Almost immediately after we began the development process of the PLUGO.LA software/site, we explored more opportunities for growth. With experience in both the tech and music industries, focusing our efforts on digital social music promotion is all that made sense us.

We knew the company, and our business model, was going to have to grow, or die. We are continuing with the development of PLUGO.LA. Concurrently, we are also working on some sister projects to compliment our mission; to help musicians into the digital age by giving them and music fans a DIY social platform to distribute, discover and share great music and videos.
